This is Pinball Lizard’s inaugural blog post. I’d like to take the opportunity to tease some of the games being worked on.
Pinball Alert
Pinball: And there’s me!
Nevi: Yes, before you read about all the cool games in the pipeline, don’t forget to say “hi” to our helpful mascot, Pinball.
Throwing Hands
This is a quick-fire game of collecting Spirit Tokens (not 100% happy with this name) by playing Bouts of rock, paper, scissors with a mind game twist. It plays in about 20 minutes, making it a great filler game to squeeze in at the end of a game night or even a lunch break.
It’s currently in the playtest phase. If anyone would like to take it out for a spin and provide feedback, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Malefactor
Alright, now here is where I’ve stretched my preverbial fingers on the rules writing. This is closer to the more traditional or expected game rules. It has some of the usual suspects like stats, dice, factions and tables of information. Where is strays is that Malefactor is an asymmetrical game of Hunters investigating and uncovering a lone mage, while the other play must hide and lay traps. The whole thing crescendos in an all out battle between the two players.

Flashes in a Starry Sky
Flashes is in early development, but the potted explanation is that it is a fast-paced mech game set in outer space with rules for momentum, solid mass projectiles and a unique interrupt system.
I’m not at the stage of sharing it yet, but once it’s in alpha we’ll start shouting about it.
Fields and Furrows
Fields and Furrows was the original inspiration for Pinball Lizard. The idea came from playing with farm toys with my toddler and grew into an excuse to buy some miniature chickens and cows from Warbases. It’s still in development, but the core rules are nearly at alpha. However, I think it is missing something, which is why it isn’t quite ready to share.
Micro-Games
Here at Pinball Lizard, we sometimes have an idea that doesn’t really work as a full rulebook. Instead, it’s better suited as a micro game of a couple of pages and play in about 30 minutes.

I’m sure we’ll create more over the coming year. When there are somewhere between 5 and 10, I’d like to publish them as a compilation or something.
